Miniature from photo
Miniature from photo — tabletop figurine STL
Looking for a miniature from photo, photo to miniature, or figurine from photo for tabletop / RPG scale? PhotoSTL runs image to 3D in the browser, then exports STL / 3MF in millimeters with a Miniature recipe (default ~32 mm tall, flat on the bed, small base plate). 30 free credits (≈3 drafts) when you sign in (Google or magic link).
How it works
- Open the generator and select the Miniature recipe (or use the button below).
- Upload one character or creature photo (JPG / PNG / WebP).
- Generate — typical mesh in about 30 seconds — then download STL or 3MF for your slicer.
FAQ
Can I make a miniature from a photo?
Yes. On photostl.com choose the Miniature print recipe, upload one clear character or creature photo, generate an image to 3D draft (about 30 seconds), then download STL or 3MF scaled for tabletop height (default ~32 mm).
Is this for RPG / Warhammer-style figurines?
It is aimed at tabletop and RPG figurine drafts — not a game-asset text-to-3D pipeline. Treat the mesh as a printable draft: check thin limbs and supports in your slicer before you print.
What photo works best for a miniature STL?
One subject, preferably full body, plain background, even lighting. Busy scenes and heavy blur reduce mesh quality at small scale.
Is there a free trial?
30 free credits (≈3 drafts) when you sign in (Google or magic link). After that, Hobby is $9 for 1,500 credits (~$0.06 per draft on our price list).
